Real Madrid is facing an injury crisis ahead of their upcoming fixtures, with Kylian Mbappé ruled out of the Copa del Rey quarter-final against Leganés due to a bruised calf.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Mbappé, along with Jude Bellingham and David Alaba, will miss the match, adding to Madrid’s growing list of absentees. 

Alaba, who recently returned from a long-term knee injury, will be sidelined for two to three weeks with a thigh problem, ruling him out of the La Liga derby against Atlético Madrid and making him doubtful for their Champions League clash with Manchester City.

Antonio Rüdiger is also a major doubt due to another thigh issue, leaving Madrid with limited options at center-back. 

Additionally, Madrid has publicly expressed frustration with Spanish refereeing, calling it “rigged” and “discredited” after a controversial decision in their recent loss to Espanyol.
