United States of America (U.S.A) President Donald Trump has announced the annullement of preventative pardons issued by former President Joe Biden to lawmakers who investigated his attempts to overturn the 2020 election.
President Trump argued that the pardons were invalid because they were signed using an autopen.
Biden’s pardons, granted at the end of his term, covered former Republican lawmaker Liz Cheney and other members of the congressional committee that investigated the January 6 Capitol riot.
When asked if all documents signed by Biden with an autopen should be voided, President Trump stated that the decision rested with the courts but warned the committee members that they remained under investigation.
Biden also issued preemptive pardons to Anthony Fauci, retired General Mark Milley, and his son Hunter Biden, all of whom had been criticized by President Trump.
