Ukraine Reports New Wave of Russian Attacks as Zelensky Plans Visit to Saudi Arabia for Peace Talks

Ukraine has reported a new wave of Russian attacks overnight, targeting multiple regions including Odesa in the south and Kharkiv in the east.

In the wake of these strikes, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced plans to travel to Saudi Arabia next week for a critical meeting where Ukrainian and US officials will hold talks aimed at ending the ongoing war.

Zelensky expressed hope for a meaningful meeting and committed to working constructively with US officials to achieve a fast and lasting peace.

In Brussels, Zelensky called on European leaders to back his proposed steps for a full and fair resolution to the war.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s energy and gas infrastructure came under intense missile and drone attacks by Russia overnight, as confirmed by Ukraine’s energy minister.

In response to the escalating threats, the Polish military activated fighter jets and ground-based air defense systems to defend against the attack.

The situation remains tense, as Ukraine continues to face significant military and civilian challenges amid the ongoing conflict.
