Ukraine Launches Major Drone Attack on Moscow Ahead of Key Peace Talks

Russia has accused Ukraine of carrying out a large-scale overnight drone attack on Moscow and its surrounding region, just hours before critical peace talks between Ukraine and the United States of America in Saudi Arabia.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that 73 drones were intercepted, while flights at four major Moscow airports were temporarily grounded.

Officials confirmed at least two deaths, including a car park guard and another civilian.

The escalation comes as US and Ukrainian officials prepare for discussions amid mounting tensions.

The USA, under President Donald Trump, has suspended military aid and intelligence sharing with Kyiv, pressuring Ukraine into negotiations.

Despite past tensions, Ukraine is expected to present a partial ceasefire proposal in an effort to regain Washington’s support.
